Inspired by the success of Flappy Bird, record company AWAL challenged us to create an online game to increase fan engagement for American singer-songwriter and record producer Lauv. Using an avatar of Lauv’s dog Billy, we created ‘Billy Meets World’ a web-based multi-device game that rewarded fans with exclusive rewards as they played.
The game was produced in over 7 languages, including Korean, Chinese and Japanese, which was coordinated with Lauv’s tour across Asia. The game received critical acclaim, with over 100,000 players worldwide, valuable data capture and a significant increase in streams of the single.
